Whose house do I burn down?

According to Kotaku, the greatest anime Ikki Tousen or Battle Vixens (as it likes to be called here in the US) was made into a Japanese PS2 title that was in the process of coming over to the States. The ESRB had different plans however, they slapped the game with an "M" rating. "So?" you say. Well Battle Vixens is known for it's massive amount of fan service.

Thankfully the PS2 title didn't miss this fact. The game entitled Ikki Tousen: Shining Dragon has it's fighter take battle damage. Not, you see her face swell after being kneed in the eye. No, no, there clothes begin to tear and shred revealing the fighter's body and underwear; the ESRB didn't think that particular hook was kid friendly and so they gave it an M-rating.

The ESRB's reasoning:
All the female characters are dressed in short skirts or skirts with a high slit. The game features frequent depictions of panties, cleavage, and exaggerated breast jiggle. A special attack move allows some characters to rip opponents' clothes to shreds – exposing even more of the female anatomy (legs, breasts, partial buttocks).

...oh, sorry I was getting dressed to go buy this game.

Again according to Kotaku, Valcon Games CO-Founder Colin Goron after hearing the news of his company's game's rating said: "We could remove all the stuff that makes it an M-rated game, but then we don't think the customers would be very happy buying an Ikki Tousen game without all the shredded clothing."

Let's wait to see what happens
